It’s been over a month since my last blog post and I could easily blame the holidays. I mean, Halloween was only 3 days before Thanksgiving which was 2 days away from Christmas which was only a day before New Years. Heck the Valentine’s stuff was out at Walmart the day after Christmas!
Time is flying by faster than I can keep track of
– so a little blog post can totally get overlooked.
But the fact of the matter is, I didn’t overlook it or forget about it – I simply didn’t feel like it.
It’s not that I didn’t want to write. I definitely LOVE inspiring young entrepreneurs, educating future writers and sharing God’s love with others. The reason I didn’t write is because…
I was curious if anyone would miss me?
I’ve been working on this blog since April 2013. I revamped the website completely in May and since then, haven’t really gotten any response. Of my 254 subscribers, 352 FaceBook friends, 447 Twitter followers, and 500+ LinkedIn connections … no one responds.
- No one hits the like button at the end of the message.
- No one leaves a comment.
- I don’t think anyone Shares the post via any social media platform.
- And no one new has signed up to Follow me.
So… am I doing something wrong? Is my message even getting out there? Or are people just too busy to read and respond? If it’s the latter I get it. TRUST ME – I GET IT!
But if you read my post, and like it, could you please hit the Like button?
If the message made you think of something to say, leave a comment – Even an anonymous one. You don’t have to fill in name, email… Just write a short message and hit Send.
I would LOVE to hear from you!
Okay I M NOT very knowledgeable on blogs where is the like button? I do read your blogs.
Just added a new, easier to use feature.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I don’t even get much response from Twitter. What’s up with that? I know of a YA writer who says that when her Amazon sales drop below $2K/mo she just does a Twitter blast. Of course her titles are like “Dead Girls Don’t Talk”
But I’m not turning in my pony for blood, gore, and ___ !
We just keep on keeping on.
Write On!
I agree. Guess we’re not cool enough for Twitter.. ha!
It isn’t you. People have information overload because of the internet and are constantly running to the next article or website. Pushing a single ‘like’ button becomes a time drag at the speed we’re moving. Were you aware some major websites have removed commenting fro their pages and no longer show how many people are liking and sharing? That’s because very few people are!
I did not realize that. Good point though. Thank You!
