Dream World Defenders – Challenge!

Hello Everyone – My new Book is out!!

I am so excited about the debut of this book but even more-so for the Writing Challenge. This is an opportunity for every child, who has ever dreamed about becoming a published author, to get their chance!

Dream World Defenders Call to Write ChallengePress Release: Kathleen J. Shields, award-winning author of the Hamilton Troll adventures is proud to announce the debut of her latest chapter book: “Dream World Defenders” and with it – the Call-To-Write Challenge.

With the continued success of the Hamilton Troll educational series, Shields’ found her desire for education extends to older children as well. She wanted to write something middle school age children would want to read and enjoy and she wanted it to educate them as well as excite them both in reading, but more importantly – in writing.

Kathleen’s favorite saying is “The Only Limitation is Your Own Imagination” and she says that quite frequently when talking about creative writing with children. She encourages children to write their own stories – so when she came to the conclusion of her latest book; she left the ending open in hopes of persuading her readers to write their own ending. Her initial plan was that it would be a great writing assignment in classrooms.

To support her endeavor, Erin Go Bragh; her publishing company, created the Call-To-Write Challenge to not only get those children writing but ignite a spark within them to continue writing as the Challenge is designed to publish those children’s short story endings in a collaboration book at the end of the year.

Kathleen has published 18 books so far ranging from the Hamilton Troll rhyming story series for ages 4 and up, various chapter books for ages 8 and up, the Kaitlyn Jones young adult trilogy and more.
